Why generalize? With reference to cam2cam, I'd bet that there are many people that do, that don't and many people that have no idea either way.

Generalizations are dangerous here. Some people do, some people don't. Personally, being far away from the partner I'm with, it's something that crossed my mind at times, but then we have our memories of the time we spent together and they are recalled easily with talking on the phone or on msn or skype. Cam isn't needed for all, but some people do enjoy doing it and to each their own as long as they aren't in a mutual relationship that excludes that practice.

We have been talking about getting one, we have yet to have any experiences with anybody other than each other for the 10 years that we have been together........we thought maybe a cam would be a exciting. i use a Logitech brand cam, paid about $20.00 for it. It works well for me, but you have to "set" it for specific apps such as skype, or yahoo messenger.
