The site for the Ninth International Conference on Bisexuality has been officially announced!
From June 15 to June 18, 2006, the 9th International Conference on Bisexuality (or 9ICB) will be calling the campus at Ryerson University, in the heart of Canada's largest city, Toronto, home. The Toronto Bisexuality Education Project is proud to make this announcement.
The Toronto Bisexuality Education Project is proud to announce that the 9th International Conference on Bisexuality will be held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at Ryerson University. “Ryerson Campus stood out as the perfect location for the conference, as it's located on the fringe of Toronto's Queer Community," said Dana Shaw, Chair of The Toronto Bisexuality Education Project. "This will allow participants of the conference to wander out and enjoy Toronto's diverse and energetic scene easily.”
In years past, The International Conference on Bisexuality has attracted hundreds of bisexual people from all over the world to explore such topics as bi politics, gender and sexual diversity. According to Community Outreach Worker Stephen Harvey, "The conference is an important tool in carving out bi spaces and creating community."
"Bisexuals often feel invisible due to a lack of inclusivity, but there are more of us out there than you'd think!" Harvey proudly exclaims.
The Ninth International Conference on Bisexuality, or 9ICB, is scheduled to begin on Thursday, June 15th and will run until Sunday, June 18th, 2006.
Those interested in providing press coverage for 9ICB, or attending the Conference as a delegate, can e-mail for more information to info@9icb.org. You can also register for the Conference online, or even collect a few more pertinent facts, by visiting our official 9ICB website, http://www.9icb.org .
